1954 FenderStratocaster – Sunburst (Trem Cover Serial #)
We’re incredibly proud to have this very early production 1954 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish! This example has a neck and body date of January 1954, and the potentiometer dates from 1952. This is the fourth serialized Stratocaster, as indicated by the guitar’s serial number 0103. Only 200 Stratocasters received a tremolo cover with a serial number starting with 0100. The guitar is beautifully worn from years of love and use, with some wear in the cowboy chord area and playwear throughout the body. These original frets are fairly worn, too. These tuners were changed at some point, leaving some extra holes. Currently, this guitar sports a mid-60s pair of double-line Klusons.
