1960 GibsonLes Paul Standard – Sunburst
Where do we even begin on this guitar? The flame, the color, its sound, its history? Let’s start here – This 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard is an exceptional example of the fabled “Burst.” Maintaining a bright Sunburst finish, this top features beautiful flame and stunning grain. While some hardware has been replaced with reproduction examples (details listed below), all electronics remain entirely original on this piece, providing you with that quintessential “PAF” sound so prevalent in Gibson’s golden age. The covers have been off of this guitar before, and the pickups are double-zebra! There is also a small piece of replaced binding on the bass side at the 1st-3rd frets. We purchased this guitar many years ago from its original owner. Randy was a pastor here on Long Island, and he first bought this guitar in Grafton, North Dakota, at Anderson Music Store. Randy says he didn’t really use the guitar too much, which explains its incredible condition. Inside the case, you will find the original receipt for this instrument and a photo of Randy on the day he sold this guitar to us in our old store!
