1964 FenderMusicMaster – Red-Mahogany
This 1964 Fender MusicMaster, in its original “Red-Mahogany” finish, is your opportunity to pick up a pre-CBS Fender for way below most pre-CBS prices! The MusicMaster line debuted in 1956 as Fender’s first short-scale student model, offered alongside its two-pickup counterpart, the DuoSonic. This example is most likely part of the last few batches of the original design before the introduction of the MusicMaster II in late 1964. This piece features the model’s original body design and single-piece ABS pickguard, two of the most notable differences between the two iterations. Red-Mahogany is what the Fender catalog called this finish, although the body is very clearly Alder, as stated in the specs section below! This particular guitar plays great for a ¾” size guitar, and you’ll be surprised just how much fun you’ll have with this one at home!
