1965 FenderMustang – Red
If you’re looking to get into great vintage guitars without spending a ton of money, this 1965 Fender Mustang in Red is definitely an awesome way to do it! The Mustang model was offered in the summer of 1964 as a midline option, just ahead of the DuoSonic and under Fender staples such as the Stratocaster and Telecaster. To keep things simple, the Mustang was only offered in three colors; Red, White and Blue. Featuring two single coil pickups, a clever two slide switch wiring layout, and a very functional tremolo, the Mustang certainly has everything you’d want in a classic Fender! This particular guitar feels great, and the entire instrument was very well kept. It appears this one had a bodyguard, a plastic cap that covered the back of the guitar, on it for quite some time that has left some mild texture and discoloration.
