1966 FenderStratocaster – Olympic White (Bound Fretboard)
Who couldn’t love this worn-in 1966 Fender Stratocaster in Olympic White with a bound neck?! With Fender’s new ownership in full swing, the Stratocaster underwent several changes in 1966, with a couple of these visible on this very guitar. First (and most noticeable) was the introduction of their larger headstock shape, a spec that would continue throughout the 70s. The rarest specification of this guitar is its bound rosewood neck! You hardly ever see one with a bound neck, and the binding adds another dimension of detail to this guitar, pairs well with this played-in Blond finish, and immediately pops in contrast to this dark rosewood fretboard. This guitar is an excellent player all around and has the sound to match its good looks!
