1962 GibsonES-330TD – Sunburst
Some guitars are great plugged in, others shine acoustically, but this one truly excels at both! This stunning 1962 Gibson ES-330TD is clean in its factory Sunburst finish. As expected from a great ES-330, it delivers an incredibly lively and resonant unplugged tone, paired with an unmistakable, warm, airy, yet powerful character when amplified. What makes this example especially compelling is that while most ES-330’s from 1962 transitioned to small block inlays, this guitar retains the earlier dot inlays. The guitar remains original, except for the addition of a strap button at the back of the neck block, which is common. Cosmetically, it shows honest wear consistent with its 64 years of life, including nicks, dings, light playwear, and beautiful weather checking throughout. It comes housed in a non-original but period-correct vintage Guild hard case. While it is always possible that the original store sold the guitar in this case, it would be impossible to tell that for sure. From its feel to its tone, this ES-330 is an absolute joy to play and would make a standout addition to any collection!
