1962 FenderStratocaster – Fiesta Red (Lefty)

We’ve got an amazing story for you with this 1962 Fender Stratocaster in its original Fiesta Red finish! Back in 1961, the original owner of this guitar walked into his local music store to buy a Jazzmaster. The only problem? He was left-handed. Fender had not started to make left-handed Jazzmasters yet, so the local salesman suggested he order a Stratocaster. Being a big Ventures fan the original owner would have rather had the Jazzmaster, but opted to go with the salesman’s advice and order a Stratocaster. He chose his favorite color, Fiesta Red, and waited a year to receive it. Once received, he sparingly used the guitar as he had a few other left-handed guitars to play. It sat untouched in the case for nearly its whole life. We have a photo of him playing the guitar in 1964 and a photograph from the day we purchased it from him, both included in the case.
