1966 Rickenbacker4005WB – FireGlo

Check out this limited-run 1966 Rickenbacker 4005WB in its original FireGlo finish! The production of the 4005 model only lasted from 1965 until 1971, making this model one of the rarest examples from Rickenbacker’s catalog. This particular bass is the “WB” or “white binding” variant, with both the top and back fully bound for a striking contrast to the vibrant FireGlo finish. This bass has an epic “thump” amped up and unplugged, and its semi-hollow construction gives it a unique tone compared to the solid 4001. Overall, this bass is in good shape, with all original components and light playwear throughout. The back of the neck has been worn down to bare wood from the second fret to the sixth, so it is exceptionally smooth and slick. With its great sound and incredible playability, this is an amazing bass to have in your arsenal!
