1964 EpiphoneCoronet – Cherry
This well-maintained 1964 Epiphone Coronet comes in its original Cherry finish! This Gibson-made Epiphone is built with the same high quality woods Gibson was using at the time, with a single slab of mahogany for the body, and a nice tight-grained piece for the neck. The “batwing” headstock has to be one of the coolest shapes of any Epiphone guitar of the time! The finish on the guitar is still very vibrant, free of any major wear, and minimal fading. The two P90s are very strong and amped up can sound smoking hot, or clean, full, and warm. Thanks to the slim nut width and pleasant neck shape, this guitar is very comfortable to play. This pickguard and double pickup configuration puzzled us when we first received this Epiphone, though after consulting with Gibson, believe that this particular example was erroneously routed like a Wilshire at the factory and has been marked as a factory 2nd because of this.
