1960 GibsonEB-2 – Argentine Grey

Talk about a rare finish with this 1960 Gibson EB-2 in Argentine Grey! This was an older Gibson acoustic finish, one we have seen brought back on a handful of instruments from the late 50s/early 60s with examples listed on the Gibson ledger. Usually we would see this on guitars, but with the same body style this EB received the same finish! Its almost like Sunburst, but with no red in the mix. Essentially, the finish has a natural center graduating into black edges. It makes for quite a beautiful burst! This model offers a handy Vari-tone switch, allowing the player to switch between normal bass voicing and baritone. The baritone voicing is super deep, almost thundering in tone. When we plug this thing up its mudbucker makes our whole store rattle!
