1956 FenderEsquire – Tahitian Coral
We don’t think you’ll find another 1956 Fender Esquire in its original Tahitian Coral finish! This striking peach color certainly had to have been a custom order, as the closest other Fender we can find from that period that somewhat resembles this shade is the legendary 1954 Stratocaster rumored to have been owned at one time by Wanda Jackson. As with all Fender colors at the time, this was most likely an automotive paint, and another close match we could find was the 1955 Ford color, Cameo Coral. The story of why this one is in such fantastic shape is great! It was purchased as a gift for a gentleman who thought it was too “pink” for him, so he didn’t play it much. That’s lucky for us, as we now have this beautifully preserved Esquire in this scarce finish with all of its original components. It has a crisp, rich tone, and the whole guitar vibrates when played. You’ll be the only one on the block with this Esquire!
