1965 GibsonFirebird III – Frost Blue
We’re extremely grateful to have this super rare 1965 Gibson Firebird III in its original Frost Blue finish! Towards the end of the original “Reverse” Firebird run, Gibson had several lefty necks left over. Instead of disposing of them, they used the remaining stock to make a small batch of “non-reverse” headstock Firebirds. Most of these we’ve seen are Custom Colors, just like this one! The finish is still in great shape, with a mild yellowing of the clear coat. The neck and overall playability feel great, and the two mini-humbuckers sound fantastic. Under the bridge, you can even see an original “Custom Made” plaque. This piece is entirely original and free from any breaks or repairs.
