1981 GibsonLes Paul Custom – Cherry Sunburst
Here we have a played-in, lefty 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original Cherry Sunburst finish! You don’t often see these left-handed vintage instruments, so we’re happy to have this one available. Cosmetically, the guitar is in decent shape for being 42 years old, showing nicks and dings here and there, along with some heavy finish wear on the neck. The guitar has a fast medium/thin C neck profile and is a joy to play. These original pickups sound fantastic both played clean or with some grit. At 9 lbs 15 oz, it’s quite comfortable weight-wise, especially for a Custom at this time! The guitar appears to be completely original, including these Schaller-made Speed Winder tuners!
