1972 FenderPrecision Bass – Sunburst

It doesn’t get much cleaner than this 1972 Fender Precision Bass in Sunburst! This bass remains in great condition, with some minor wear and aging. While the red hues in this three-tone burst have faded somewhat (intense tan lines under the guard!), the finish still retains some of its vibrance. There are a few touch-ups of black paint around the edges, which are mainly noticeable under black light. This example sports the 46th week of ’72 pots and a November ’72 neck, with all original electronics, except for a couple of retouched solder joints. This bass has a “B” stamped neck, meaning it has a narrower nut width than most Precision Basses. Starting in 1969, the P-Bass could be ordered with a standard C (1-3/4″) or a narrower B (1-5/8″) nut. Paired with a Medium C profile, this bass feels easy to play – classic and reliable!
