1965 GibsonSG Special – Inverness Green
If you’re looking for vibe, this gorgeous 1965 Gibson SG Special in Inverness Green certainly has it in spades! Inverness Green was accomplished by spraying Pelham Blue and then tinting with an amber clear coat to create this incredible green shade. In some areas of playwear, such as the edge of the neck, you can even see some of the Pelham undercoat poking through! You can always tell when it is Inverness, though, as the cavities and underneath the pickguard (areas without wear or exposure to UV light) will still show green…just like on this guitar! This SG sounds and feels incredible with its two P90 pickups, full-rounded neck profile, and vibrato. This guitar did have another set of tuners on it at some point, but it now has the original, correct tuners installed.
Overall Condition: 7.5, checking, wear throughout, yellowing of the clear coat, one deep mark in the back of the guitar
