1954 FenderStratocaster – Sunburst (Trem Cover Serial #)

How well preserved is this extremely early 1954 Fender Stratocaster in Sunburst with a tremolo plate serial number?! We’re so grateful to have several of these tremolo plate serial number Strats, with this being one of the better-preserved examples! This term cover serial number is #0102, making it the third serialized Strat in this series. This is so early in the model’s production that Fender hadn’t added yellow to their sunburst yet, opting to use the natural wood color with a dark brown burst pattern. All the bakelite components are intact, minus one short-skirt tone knob and the switch tip. It’s an incredible player and a truly historic piece of the Fender story!
