1967 FenderTelecaster – Sherwood Green
We’re pleased to have one of the rarest color-chart finishes available on this all-original 1967 Fender Telecaster in Sherwood Green Metallic! As with many rare finishes of the time, we can trace Sherwood Green back to the automotive industry. This finish first appeared as an option in the Mercury catalog under Ford in the late 50s and then made its way on the first Fender color chart, where it stayed “officially” until the ’65 catalog. That makes this color that much more insane on this Telecaster from 67!! The finish itself has light wear and checking throughout, and in some areas, the undercoat of white pops through for a beautiful contrast. It has aged very deep in color, looking almost black in some lighting. The neck has that perfect played-in feel for super comfortable playing. This is the one if you’re looking for that “unobtainium” custom color Telecaster!
