1971 FenderTelecaster – Wildwood Orange

This is certainly unique, and we’ve never seen anything like it! Check out this 1971 Fender Telecaster in its original Wildwood Orange finish. In 1968, Fender introduced a new “Wildwood” finish. The vibrant colors of these natural finishes were achieved by injecting dye into growing beech trees. This was only available at the time on Coronados and acoustic guitars, making this Telecaster a very unique example! It features an alder body core with actual veneer strips of wildwood treated beechwood! It is likely that this guitar was made promotionally for a trade show to display Fender’s new technique. It is very likely one of a kind, and fully original.
