1971 FenderThinline Telecaster – Lavender Lilac

Feast your eyes on this 1971 Fender Thinline Telecaster in its original Lavender Lilac finish! A few years ago, a picture of a key piece of Fender history began circulating around online. Written on what looks to be a manilla envelope, in Freddy Tavares’ handwriting, was the original list of custom color names intended for the Thinline Telecaster. We were lucky enough to have a nice collection of Thinline’s at the time and were able to match every color name on the list to a guitar we owned. Fender made very few custom-colored Thinline Telecasters in general and Lavender Lilac is certainly one of the choice colors to come across! To top it off, the original purple pearloid pickguard makes for a very cool combo against the body color! Equipped with a nicely balanced set of pickups, it sounds just as good as it looks!
